Hi Everyone . I like to introduce myself to all music lovers: DJBEAR a.k.a DJBERKAND “Purveyor of deep, infectious dance grooves and a feel-good atmosphere.” That’s how Berkand describes himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up on his father’s eclectic combination of Rock N Roll music (Elvis Presley,The Beatles), European pop stars (Mina, Julio Iglesias, Adriano Celentano), synth-infused 80s music (Depeche Mode, Gary Numan)… all which became infused with his own love for both disco, jazz and soft rock music, Berkand ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that he loves best: beautiful synth work, ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, and occasional vocal hooks… all on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling house beat. A very active member of Deep House community, Berkand is no stranger to the ups-and-downs of a small-town music scene. Though he loves playing in nightclubs, patios and special events, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. As a producer, amateur pianist, and promoter, he has found plenty of ways to express himself musically. Born in the deep rain-forests of Central Africa, was a chimpanzee named Kevin, who was unlike any other ape in the jungle. While his peers swung from vines and played in the treetops, he was fascinated by a different kind of rhythm. He was entranced by the sound of the rain, the wind in the leaves, and the chirping of birds, but most of all, he loved the beat of the jungle itself.One day, as he sat by a gurgling stream, he found an old, discarded radio. He curiously examined it, pushing buttons and twisting knobs. Suddenly, music blared from the small device. The ape's eyes widened with wonder, and a rush of excitement coursed through him. The rhythmic beats and melodies filled his heart, and he began to dance, swaying to the music with pure joy.The ape's newfound passion for music soon turned into an obsession. He spent hours each day tinkering with the radio, discovering new tunes and rhythms. His fellow chimps watched him with amusement, wondering why he was so captivated by this strange human invention.As days turned into weeks, a fascination evolved into something more profound. He began to experiment with different sounds in the jungle, mimicking the melodies he had heard on the radio. He would beat rocks on tree trunks, clap his hands, and imitate the bird's songs, creating his own unique beats.His affinity for rhythm and melody quickly became evident to his ape companions. They gathered around him as he improvised, and soon they too began to dance to his rhythms. The jungle was alive with the sounds of makeshift music, bringing joy and unity to his fellow chimpanzees.Word of this ape's music soon reached a group of local scientists who were studying primates in the rain-forest. They were amazed by the ape's musical abilities and decided to observe him closely. They left a small record player with a collection of music, and Kevin immediately recognized the device, having heard a similar sound from the old radio he found.The ape's journey into the world of DJ'ing had officially begun. With the record player, he learned to switch records, create unique mixes, and even scratch the vinyl with a twig. The scientists were astonished by the musical prodigy they had discovered.Over time, the Ape's DJ trek took him beyond the rain-forest. In 1988, he began spinning records in Colorado, captivating audiences with fun hooks and beats. And, as years would pass, his DJ path would branch as it held course with his life; thus, taking him to California, Hawaii, Germany, Spain, and China, performing at clubs, raves, and mobile gigs. His unique jungle-inspired beats made the souls of many smile.With the inevitable passage of time, the Ape's life took new turns, but all the same, he never lost touch with his roots. These days, he continues to mix music simply for fun, and to furnish his wife with new stuff to listen to. He often imagines that his poor wife lives with a semi-domesticated ape that roams the house and makes uncouth gestures--the local house ape.

Addicted to music since the age of 15, listening to it, playing it, and enjoying it to the fullest! I took my first steps in the world of free radio with music styles such as New Wave, New Beat, and later more danceable styles such as Garage, Disco, Soul, Funk, House and more... My music style produced the necessary decibels through many speakers in living rooms, organized parties, and discotheques/clubs. Music is enjoyment, freedom, and carefreeness that I want to share with many listeners as fellow DJs.

Ho iniziato a mixare musica verso la fine degli anni 70 nei club, influenzato dai suoni armonici, beat e groove del Jazz, Soul, Funk e da studi musicali (5 anni di pianoforte). Dopo un periodo molto proficuo (musicalmente parlando) e lungo (21 anni), ho interrotto l'arte del dj'ing nelle discoteche dedicandomi solo esclusivamente alla pratica e piacere personale. Ho sempre coltivato e mai accantonato il mondo musicale così, con l'avvento delle tecnologie digitali, ho riscoperto l'utilizzo della tecnica 'vinilica' nelle nuove apparecchiature elettroniche, trovando nuova linfa e nuovi stimoli, e con l'aiuto di tutti quei nuovi servizi di streaming ho anche trovato alcuni grandi DJ's provenienti da tutto il mondo con i quali confrontarmi per tecniche e stili musicali. Al giorno d'oggi Soulful, Funk & Disco House sono le mie preferenze, ma senza mai dimenticare quel suono 'antico' che ha influenzato tutte queste nuove correnti musicali. Single Social in the Sunshine State of the USA. Got introduced to house music while in college when I lived in the Midwest. At 1st I wasn't feeling it, but my friends, dudes moving those bodes from Chicago and NY and some *puff* got me luvin it. lol I'm not a DJ or Mixologsit of music like MANY of you are. Just someone who likes how house music brightens my mood and makes me want to groove. Helps my work outs tremendously from start to finish, When I dl new mixes from my FAVs or roll up on someone new I get so hyped. When I heard my 1st gospel uplifting mix.... I was like Glory! You can praise God through house music. So big Thxs 2 those who share those genre of mixes. And many Thxs 2 ALL you who share ur passion and talent of finding jam tracks and putting them together for the enjoyment of others (me) :) Take Care!
